We are currently rolling out a major behind-the-scenes update to the Vida App to optimize and unify your experience. While these updates occur, you may notice a few exciting new features and temporary changes to tools you already use today.
Please note: This new version is currently available for Android users. If you are on an iOS device, look out for these exciting updates coming soon!
What’s New (And How to Use It)
- Lightning-Fast Performance: You will immediately notice that things like switching providers and tracking labs load instantly.
-
Biometric Login: You can now sign in quickly using Face or Fingerprint recognition. Setting this up also extends your login window, keeping you signed in for 90 days instead of the standard 14.
- To set it up: You must trigger the setup prompt by logging in. If already logged in, log out of the app, log back in with your email and password, and tap “Enable fingerprint / face recognition.”
- To turn it off: Tap the settings button on the top right corner of the Home screen > tap “Sign in with biometrics” > tap “Disable.”
-
Dark Mode: Give your eyes a rest! You can now easily switch between Dark mode, Light mode, or match your phone's System default.
- To change this: Tap the settings button on the top right corner of the Home screen > tap “Dark Mode” > Choose “Always light,” “Always dark,” or “Same as system.”
- Enhanced Food Logger: Logging your meals is easier than ever. Check out our guide on how to use it here: How to Use the New Vida Food Logger
Navigating Temporary Changes
As we upgrade our system, a few features are temporarily paused or working a little differently.
-
Syncing Health Devices: Direct in-app Bluetooth pairing for blood pressure cuffs, scales, and glucose meters is temporarily disabled. Additionally, the camera-based meter reading feature is currently unavailable.
- The Workaround: You can still seamlessly sync your devices by connecting them through Apple Health, Fitbit, Garmin, Oura, or Withings in your account settings or logging metrics manually in your trackers.
- Content Library: The "Browse" content library is temporarily unavailable, and you cannot currently "favorite" articles.
-
Habits & Trackers Under Construction:
- Custom Habits: You can still view habits assigned by your coach, mark them complete, and track your streaks. Custom habit creation and reminders are paused and will return in an upcoming update.
- Medications: Daily medication tracking will return soon.
- Thought Tracker: This feature is paused while we design a brand-new mood-tracking experience.
Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will these updates be available on the web version of Vida, or just the mobile app?
A: The web version, along with the iOS and Android apps, will all be on the same updated version soon! This ensures that if you ever need to switch between your phone, tablet, or computer, you will have a seamless and consistent experience.
