Now you can accept your video consults on the desktop application
We currently support this feature on:
Start by going to vida.com/clients and log into your account.
If you have an upcoming consultation, this will be displayed under the consultation tab.
When it's time for your consultation, please make sure you have a comfortable place to sit, and possibly a quiet location, if this is possible.
Please also make sure you are not logged into your account on your mobile device while currently being logged into your account on the desktop application.
This could create 2 call notifications and might create issues for you depending on your network speed.
When it is time for your consultation, and your coach has started the video chat, this notification will appear on your browser.
You can either decline the video call by pressing the red X icon.
Or, you can accept the video consult by selecting the green Video Camera icon.
Once you have selected to accept the video consult, a new window will open on your browser.
If you have never accepted the video consult previously, you will need to give the browser permissions.
First, you will need to either allow or block the microphone permissions.
If you've already selected to accept the video consult, the camera permissions should be enabled. You should be able to verify this by clicking on the Lock icon on the top left-hand corner of the URL in the video consult window.
At this point, you should be in the video chat with your coach. Welcome to your first video consultation with your coach!
I want to turn off my camera and mute myself
Once you have entered the video consultation, you can disable your camera if you just don't want the camera on, disable your mic if you're hearing too much background noise, and end the call.
If you want to turn off the video camera, select the camera icon on the consultation window to disable it.
You can verify your camera has been disabled by looking to the left-hand corner of the screen. The photo on your account will be listed.
If you want to disable the mic, just click on the microphone icon located on the video consultation window.
Your coach should no longer be able to hear from you, or the background feedback.
Once you've completed the call, you can end it by selecting the X icon on the video consultation window.
Once you click this icon, the video consultation window will close, and you will be redirected back to your main browser at vida.com/clients
That's it!
