For the Vida app, we use the food database from Nutritionix. This is where our nutritional information is sourced. This database is compiled from multiple resources which allows you to view an average of the different nutritional percentages associated with those foods.
If you are using a 3rd party app, such as Fitbit, and sending this information to the Vida App, the data visible in the Vida App will be data from Nutritionix.
If you are looking for something that gives a more detailed picture of your nutritional data, we do always recommend using the Fitbit app. When you log your meals in Fitbit, the grouped meal entries will be sent to Vida as itemized meals. Thus, if you logged a blueberry smoothie in Fitbit, Vida might read this as a single blueberry, and a single smoothie.
Again, this is due to how the Vida Health app uses Nutritionix to power our food logging platform.
