NOTE: IF your scale is a Withings Body Pro 2 version (Vida device ordered before May 1st, 2025), it is not safe for use with a pacemaker. |
If cellular connectivity is not reliable in your area, you can connect your Vida device to your WiFi or Bluetooth using the Connect Assistant App. This app allows you to activate an alternative connection on your Withings cellular device to ensure your data always syncs to your Vida account.
Note: This method is intended as a backup connection for users in areas where cellular coverage is weak or inconsistent.
Before You Begin
Enable Bluetooth: Ensure Bluetooth is turned on in your smartphone settings.
Check Your WiFi: If connecting via WiFi, ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz network (5GHz networks are not supported by these devices).
Step 1: Download the Connect Assistant App
Download and install the app on your mobile device using these official links:

Step 2: Prepare the App
Open the Connect Assistant app.
Under Connect your device, tap Set up with your phone.
Select the device you want to set up (Scale or Blood Pressure Monitor).
If the app asks if you have a "Data Hub" (a small white router), tap No.
Step 3: Put Your Device in "App Setup" Mode
Follow the instructions for your specific device to make it discoverable by the app.
For the Blood Pressure Monitor
Open the Menu: Press and hold the button on the side of the cuff for 6 seconds. The LED light will turn pink and the screen will display "Info."
Navigate: Press the button repeatedly (short presses) until you see "Setup" or "App Setup."
Select: Once highlighted, press and hold the button again until a progress bar appears.
Ready: Keep holding until the bar fills and the screen says "Start App." The LED will turn blue, indicating it is ready to pair.
For the Scale
Open the Menu: Press and hold the button on the back of the scale for 8 seconds until the screen displays "Info" and "App Setup."
Navigate: Press the button repeatedly (short presses) until "App Setup" is highlighted.
Select: Press and hold the button on the back until a progress bar appears underneath the word "Reset."
Ready: Keep holding until the progress bar fills completely and the screen says "Start App."
Step 4: Choose Your Connection
Return to the Connect Assistant app on your smartphone:
To connect via WiFi: Select your 2.4GHz WiFi network and enter your WiFi password.
To connect via Bluetooth: On the WiFi selection screen, select "I don’t have a Wi-Fi network" to pair via Bluetooth instead.
Step 5: Complete Setup
Follow the final prompts in the app to finish. Once complete, your device will be linked to your local connection, and your readings will automatically sync to your Vida app even if cellular service is unavailable.
