We want to ensure you have the right partnership to reach your goals. Most provider changes can be made directly in the app, while some specialized care teams involve a few extra steps to ensure your care remains consistent.
Before You Switch
Vida Medical Providers (VMP) You can switch your VMP in the app as long as you meet these two requirements:
- It has been more than 7 days since your last call.
- You do not have a call scheduled within the next 24 hours.
Therapists To change your Therapist, please message them directly in the app or email support@vida.com.
How to Switch Your Coach
Follow these steps to choose a new Health Coach or Dietitian:
1. Locate the Switch Option
- Tap the Gear Icon in the top right corner of your Home screen.
- Select Switch Provider.
- Choose the provider you wish to change and tap Continue, then Switch Coach.
2. Update Your Preferences
You’ll be asked a few quick questions to help us suggest the best possible matches for your needs.
- Confirm Your Availability: Update your preferred session times so we can find a provider who is available when you are.
- Review Your Style: Select the coaching styles that motivate you most (e.g., "Direct" or "Encouraging").
3. Choose and Confirm
- Browse matches: Scroll through your suggested providers and tap on a card to read their bio.
- Finalize: Once you’ve found the right fit, tap Change Provider.
Next Steps
Your Chat tab will update automatically with your new provider. We recommend scheduling your first session right away to keep your progress on track!
