⚠️ Error Codes & Troubleshooting

Error Code What It Means What You Can Do
Er 1 Battery is low Replace all four AA batteries with fresh Duracell AAs.
Er 2 You moved during measurement Stand still and don’t talk while the scale takes your weight.
Er 3 Weight exceeds the scale’s limit This scale supports up to 397 lb (180 kg)—step off and use a different scale if needed.
Er 4 No cellular coverage Move near a window or to an area with better AT&T/T-Mobile signal, then try again.
Er 5 – 6 Cellular or data transmission failed Step off, then step on again in a spot with stronger signal.
Er 7 Internal device error Replace batteries. If Er 7 returns, note your 15-digit serial number (on the back) and contact support.
Er 9 Provisioning (setup) error Try another weigh-in. If Er 9 appears again, send us your serial number so we can fix provisioning.
Er 10 Subscription on this scale is suspended Send us the 15-digit serial number from the back so we can reconnect if needed.
Er 11 Subscription on this scale is terminated Send us the serial number so we can reconnect the scale.

❓ Scale FAQs

🔴 Why do I see red dashed lines instead of a weight?
The scale is trying to send your measurement but can’t find a signal.
To fix:

  1. Move near a window or to better signal.

  2. Step on and wait for your weight to display.

  3. Step off—it will attempt to send (dashes will spin).

  4. When the screen goes blank, you’re done.

⚖️ Why is my weight different each time?
Minor variations (0.5–1 lb) are normal. They can come from:

  • Slight movement

  • Low batteries

  • Data syncing delay

    To confirm:

  1. Stand still on a flat, hard surface.

  2. Wait for the number to flash.

  3. Step off (dashes = sending; box = success).

  4. Check the Vida app in ~10 minutes.

🗑️ How do I delete a weight I recorded by mistake?

  1. In the Vida app, tap Weight on Home.

  2. Tap History.

  3. Swipe left on the entry and tap Remove.
    If you don’t see Remove, message us the date & weight—we’ll delete it.

📏 What’s the maximum weight this scale supports?
Up to 397 lb (180 kg). Anything above may show an error or fail to sync.

🔁 How do I switch from kilograms (kg) to pounds (lb)?

  1. Remove all four batteries.

  2. Reinsert them to reset.

  3. If it still shows kg, send us your 15-digit serial number so we can update it remotely.
