The app is doubling the nutrition’s’ inputs.
We are currently aware of an issue where calorie information from MyFitnessPal /Apple Health is sometimes not correct and can appear to be duplicated in Vida.
Unfortunately, at this time there is no fix on our side but Myfitnesspal is also aware of this issue and their team is currently working on fixing it although there is no information on when a fix might be in place at this time. Once we have more information we will update this article and let you guys know!
Here are some helpful articles that explain the issue.
While we cannot fix this issue directly, we have found some possible workarounds that will ensure that your coach gets the most accurate information possible.
Solution 1: Do not make any edits or changes to MyFitnessPal meals.
If at all possible try not to make any changes to a meal that has already been logged in your MFP account. If you do forget to add something to a meal, simply add that item into your next meal of the day. You can configure MyFitnessPal for up to 6 different meals and this may help in the event you caught something late and need to log it without messing up your nutrition information in other apps.
Solution 2: If using Apple Health, simply delete the duplicate entries.
- Open Apple Health
- Scroll down and press on Dietary Energy
- Scroll down and press Data Sources & Access
- In the Data Sources section, press on MyFitnessPal
You will see a list of all meals that have been synced to Apple Health. it should be pretty obvious at this point which meals are duplicated because you will two entries with the same calorie count, however, this isn't always the case. Pressing into each item will show you which meal it is and when it was synced. You should be able to cross-reference between both apps to find the duplicate ones.
Once you find the duplicate entry, simply swipe left and press Delete, or press Edit at the top corner of the screen, then press the red button to delete the entry.
Once the duplicate entry has been deleted, you should see the correct information in Vida.
