We're looking forward to partnering with you and your wellness goals! In this article, we will walk you through the process of registering with the Vida Health app!
Creating your Account with a Mobile Device
If you need to download our app, Click Here!
Create your Vida Account
Start by tapping Try Vida Now located at the bottom of the screen.
You will be directed to a new page. Here, you will be asked to enter the following information:
- First and Last name
- Phone number
- Birthday
- Password
You'll also see checkboxes to to:
- Allow Vida to text me important product alerts
- Agree to our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Notice of Privacy
- Agree to our Clinical Services and Practice Policies Agreement
To continue, fill out all the information and check the relevant boxes.
Note: in order to continue, you must check the boxes to "Agree to our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Notice of Privacy" and "Agree to our Clinical Services and Practice Policies Agreement."
The next screen lets you know about what we will collect in the following section. Tap "Get Started Now" to continue.
Create your Profile
On the following page, enter your weight, height, and gender.
If you're using an iOS device, you can select Fill with Apple Health. If you have information already stored, this will be pulled into the Vida App.
Then, tap continue at the bottom of the screen.
Selecting the Organization that provides Vida to You
Vida Health is offered through employers or health insurance companies as a free benefit. Type in the name of the organization that provides this service, and then tap it from the drop-down menu. You might be asked to verify your information or enter an invite code. Once you're done, press Submit.
The next screen will let you know what information we collect to better understand your health and help you select the best program for your needs. Tap on "Start Personalizing" to continue.
Program Matching
You will then begin with your Program Matching. This provides an overall direction, and your coach will work to apply it towards your own circumstances; thus, allowing you to create a personalized plan.
So, what is your main health goal?
This could be something as simple as boosting your exercise routine, getting better sleep, or managing the conditions you already have. You can select one of the options listed.
The Vida app will begin to match you to the best program recommended for you based on your current health status, and your wellness goals. You can also scroll down the page to view other programs available to you.
Health Conditions
The next screen will ask if you have any of the following health conditions.
If you have health-related conditions, please select all that apply on this screen. However, you do not need to check anything off if nothing is applicable to you. To scroll through the conditions, swipe the screen Up or Down. Press Next when you're ready to move on.
Depending on your organization and chosen program, you may be offered an option to select the type of coaching you prefer:
- Personal Coaching: Your own personal coach with regular video check-ins, and a premium experience.
- Group Program: You begin with a single session with your preferred coach, then continue through the program in a supportive group experience. This is offered to select organizations and programs. For more details, please visit this help article.
Once you've selected your program, a quick overview of what to expect will appear. This will include the inclusion criteria in order to participate in that program.
After you've read through this, tap Join Program.
The app will then let you know your program has been verified!
Congrats! Press Continue located at the bottom of the screen to move on.
Choosing your Coach
This next section of your onboarding will be on choosing your coach.
First, we will need to know your availability. This section will display 4 hour time frames ranging from 6 AM to 10 PM. This will let your coach know when you can typically be open for your Video Chats. You can tap on any of the times which make sense for you. Once you're done, tap Continue located at the bottom of the screen.
The final question you will need to answer before you're able to select your coach is what type of coaching style would you prefer. This is just asking if you need someone who motivates you every day! Or someone who gives you new ideas, and challenges you.
You can select up to 2 coaching styles. Then, press Continue located at the bottom of the screen.
You will be given a list of coaches who match your preferences and availability. To toggle between the coaches, swipe either up or down on each of the coach's photos. Each coach will provide a small sentence, letting you know how excited they are to work with you.
You can read through their specialties, their bio, and their certifications by swiping under the different sections on a coach. You can read through their specialties, their bio, and their certifications by tapping on the Coach's Card.
Here, you can read through their specialties, their bio, and their certifications by scrolling down. Once you've found your coach, tap Choose Coach located underneath the coach's short profile and tap Continue on the next screen.

From here, you can choose to schedule a session with your coach. Select one of the available times and then tap "Schedule Vida Call," or tap "Find another time" if none of those listed work for you.
You can choose not to schedule a session by pressing on the skip button on the top right corner of the screen.
On the next page, you will have the option to send an optional introduction chat message to your coach. Simply select the message you would like to send and tap on "Send Message" or tap on "Skip" in the top right corner if you do not want to send an introductory message.
If you are coming in on a trial, then this is what you will see. Press "Start Free Trial" to continue to schedule your appointment.
After confirming your schedule or starting your free trial, you will then be directed to your Home Screen! Now you can begin your Vida experience. We look forward to partnering with you and your wellness goals.
Note: The first time you go to the Home, Chat, Explore, and Journey screens, you'll see a banner that provides information about what you can do in that section. Tap "Ok, got it!" or the "X" in the top right to close the banner.
Creating your Account with our Desktop Application
Now you. can create your account using the desktop application.
However, you will still need to download the Vida App, which can be found Here in order to fully utilize the Vida Health experience.
Click Here to navigate to the Vida web app sign up page. Then, enter the following information:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Date of Birth
- Email address
- Password
Once you have inputted this, please read through our terms and conditions. Click the box once you're done.
You will then be able to press the tab, Create Account.
The next screen will ask you to verify the email address you used to create your account. This is NOT mandatory and can be completed later if you would like. To do this, press Skip for Now, or Click Here! to learn how to verify your information. If you have chosen to verify your email, select Submit at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
You will be redirected to the next page. Here you will enter your weight, height, and the gender you recognize. Once you're done, press Continue.
You will then be asked if Vida is offered to you through your employer or health plan. Simply type in your organization name to locate them, and then press Next: Choose Program to move to the next screen.
Once you have verified your paying organization, a pop-up will appear congratulating you on verifying your account! To move forward, press Let's Get Started located at the bottom of the pop-up!
The next screen will ask if you have any of the following health conditions. If you do have health-related conditions, please select all that apply on this screen.
However, you do not need to check anything off if this does not apply to you. Click on None of these Conditions, or Continue when you're ready to move on.
Before it matches you to a program, you may be asked to answer a quick survey that would help us know you a little more.
You will then begin with your Program Matching. This provides an overall direction, and your coach will work to apply it towards your own circumstances; thus, allowing you to create a personalized plan.

The Vida web portal will begin to match you to the best program recommended for you based on your current health status, and your wellness goals.
There will be a recommended program offered to based on the answers you've selected, and the health conditions you chose. You can also scroll down the page to view other programs available to you. The recommended program does not have to be the program you select to participate in, and this can always be changed later.
You can also filter the programs by sorting through Recommended, Wellness, or Conditions.
If you would like more information on what each program has to offer, select the Program Card and scroll down. This will provide a quick overview of what to expect. This will include the inclusion criteria in order to participate in that program.
You can also toggle between the Program Cards by pressing the < & > icons. You can also select the X icon in the top right-hand corner of the Program Card in order to exit out of this card.
You can also scroll down in each of the Program Cards to read more information if you would like as well. After you've located the Program you wish to begin with, please press Select Program in the right-hand corner of the screen.
The next screen will let you know your program has been verified! Congrats!

You can toggle between the coach bios by pressing the < & > icons, or press the X icon at the top right-hand corner of the Coach Card if you wish to exit out. Once you've found your coach, click Select this Coach.
Congrats! You have selected a coach and a program.
However, you will still need to download the Vida Health app to your mobile device in order to fully use the features. Please Click Here to find the download links for either Android or iOS.
