Can I sync MyFitnessPal with Vida?
Unfortunately, we do not directly sync to MyFitnessPal at this time, so you will have to sync it through another 3rd party app like FitBit, and then to Vida. The setup should be the same for both iOS and Android.
Here Comes FitBit!
Typically, the Fitbit app is the most common 3rd party app mostly used to connect Vida and MyFitnessPal.
Fitbit creates a funnel to bring all of your data into Vida to share with your coach. So MyFitnessPal will sync to Fitbit. Then Fitbit pulls this data to Vida.
MyFitnessPal → FitBit → VidaPlease download the Fitbit app onto your phone and create an account. You don't have to have a FitBit device, the app will just be used to funnel the data. You can the download link for FitBit for both iOS and Android located here:
Once you have the Fitbit app and have signed up for a new account, then go into your MyFitnessPal app and follow the instructions to connect the apps.
You will want to connect to Fitbit through your MyFitnessPal app.
To do so:
- Log into MyFitnessPal, navigate to the Settings, and click Apps & Devices.
- In the App Gallery, find Fitbit and click Connect.
- Click Allow to give MyFitnessPal access to your Fitbit data.
- Follow the instructions provided.
- You can also Click Here! if you need further instructions.
Once you have confirmed that MyFitnessPal is connected to Fitbit, That's it. You can then sync FitBit to Vida.

It's a very roundabout process, and we are working on creating a direct connection to MyFitnessPal.
So what data is actually sent to Vida?
That's a great question! If you are tracking your information solely in MyFitnessPal this is what will display in Vida.
Exercise
Water
Weight
Food
Since Vida does not have a clean connection to MyFitnessPal, your food will display differently than if you were to just use the Fitbit app alone. The meals you log in MyFitnessPal will be sent to other 3rd party apps as a Meal Summary. Thus, this is what will be displayed in Vida.
Macronutrients
Your macronutrients will also be able to sync with Vida, but it will display as a total summary on your Home screen. If you wish to see how the total for the day was made, simply click into Carbohydrates, for example, and then select History. You will see the total Carbohydrates for Each Meal Summary which MyFitnessPal was able to send to Fitbit, then into Vida.
The macronutrients which sync with Vida are Carbohydrates, Dietary Calories, Protein, and Total Fat.
*If you do not want to use the Fitbit app, you can also use Apple Health, Misfit, iHealth, or Withings to import MyFitnessPal data into Vida as well.*
