Setting Up your Scale
Good news - the scale is ready to use right out of the box! Simply insert the batteries and place your scale on a hard, flat surface. Placing the scale on a soft surface (such as carpet) will not yield accurate results.
Perform a Weigh-In
Simply step on the scale and stay still. The scale will turn on and show your weight. The weight will flash briefly to confirm it's captured. Step off the scale to start the transmission process.
When the transmission starts, you'll see dashes circling around on the display. These dashes indicate the progress of the transmission.
When the transmission is successful, you will see a box, like so:
It may take up to 10 minutes for the weight metric to appear in the Vida app.
Here are some helpful tips to ensure accurate readings and connectivity for your scale:
- Place the scale on a hard flat surface.
- Keep the scale in the same place. If you move it, it may give inaccurate readings. If the scale is moved and you find that your next weigh-in isn’t accurate, follow the steps in this article to recalibrate your scale.
- If you can, try placing the scale near a window to improve reception.
- Do not allow others to use your scale. Remember, the scale is for your use only. Avoid letting others use it, as their readings will show up in your Vida App.
